Stromboli

Stromboli is a simple twist on your average pizza recipe and makes for a tasty dinner.  I used the pizza dough recipe from lauren’s latest:

Pizza Dough (enough for one stromboli):

1/2 cup warm water
1 1/8 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/2 tablespoon honey {or sugar}
1 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoons olive or canola oil
1.5 cups bread flour

Directions:
In a large mixing bowl mix the yeast and honey into warm water. Let stand for 10 minutes (the mixture should start to bubble and foam). Mix in the salt, oil and half the flour.  Keep adding the rest of the flour until it no longer sticks to your hands.  Then knead for 6 minutes.  Spray the bowl and dough with cooking spray/olive oil and cover the dough.  Let it rise for 1-2 hours.

My ingredients were pepporoni, broccoli, red peppers, garlic, and shredded mozzarella.  Then I dipped it into a basic tomato sauce as I ate it.  YUM!
