Turkey Spinach Feta Burgers


If you are looking for a twist on the traditional burger this is it!  I used ground turkey breast from Fresh Market which was fantastic!  But any ground turkey breast would work.  I used fresh spinach in the burger but the original recipe calls for defrosted frozen spinach.  Either will work fine, just use what you have on hand!  I served these with Alexia brand sweet potato waffle fries.  You can find them in the frozen section of the grocery store and they are very yummy! This meal was quite filling so make these when you are hungry!

Turkey Spinach Feta Burgers

1 lb ground turkey breast or turkey

1 egg, slightly beaten

2-3 cups of chopped spinach (more or less depending on how much you like spinach)

3/4 cup feta cheese (is the same as 4oz of feta cheese)

1 tsp salt + pinch of pepper


Heat up a skillet or pan to medium with a drop of olive oil coating the pan.  Combine all the ingredients in a medium mixing bowl using your hands.  Divide the mixture into four evenly sized patties.  Cook the turkey burgers for about 6 minutes on each side or until the meat is cooked completely full.

I served these on toasted french hamburger rolls with tomato, red onion, and ketchup!
